Trend Alert: Going Green

Forget the black, burnt berry, white, hot pink, or neon purple polish, it seems that green nails is the latest color for your tips. Rihanna is always one to push the envelope when it comes to trends so I will let you decide if going green is for you. Perhaps the nails are a bit much but her lilac toned make-up looks quite amazing and a perfect combination for spring. I will definitely be printing this picture and taking it with me when I go shopping for new spring make-up.

Style Spotlight: Ivanka Trump

I think that Ivanka Trump is one of the classiest 26-year-old celebrities. She is always impeccably dressed and always handles herself with poise. I love this one shouldered dress, I think it was the perfect choice for the Season Finale of The Celebrity Apprentice.

Style Spotlight: Demi Moore

Demi Moore looking impeccably put together in her trench coat, nude pumps, oversized shades and glossy long locks. I have a thing for Ms. Moore - she always looks put together, she's never caught looking slummy (even with a 20-something t-shirt wearing husband), she's fit (just look at her legs), she's always fashionable, she has 3 kids, and she is over 40 - what more could (any) woman want.

The Colors of India

The Sartorialist's latest photo assignment brought him to India. Scanning the images on his site the one thing that struck me was color. You will find color in every single image he took, whether it be part of the outfit or the background. Each photo has a magnificent melange of colors. These images come at no better time then at the turn of spring. We all need a bit of color in our lives and spring is the perfect time to inject a high dose. My goal this season is to rid my closet of black and fill it with color. Hopefully these images will bring a bit of inspiration to do so.

It Item:Christian Louboutin Fontanete

I'm loving these fuschia Christian Louboutin platforms. We all need at least one pair of pink shoes in our wardrobe and why shouldn't it be a fantastic pair of Louboutins?!

Chic on the Street in L.A.

My only street fashion photo that I snapped at one of the market weeks I just attended in Los Angeles. This is the only real style I saw that was worthy of a pic or a post. I love her shades, scarf and boots - which combined give this simple tee and jeans combo a real style boost.

The L.A. Look

I have found myself on the West Coast a lot lately, maybe a little too much as I see my clothing choices starting to wane to leggings, layered oversized tees and enormous shades. The L.A. style does not strike my fancy as does New York, unless you frequent the swanky eateries and posh clubs after 8 P.M. besides that you will not find much in terms of style expect for what I referenced above...or the "Triple L"... the Lindsay Lohan Look. Even when you do venture out after the sun sets all you find is a handful of girls with great style but an (unfortunate) disproportionate amount of girls with a leniency toward the tacky, trashy variety.

My Absence

I would like to apologize profusely for my sudden disappearance. Besides traveling across the country and back (twice within the past two weeks) my only true reason for this non-intentional neglect is an absurdly high level of fatigue and an unusual lack of inspiration – hence my deficient creative expression. I can’t believe it has already been two weeks since my last post. There is a lot happening right now in fashion and I hope to report on my usual fare, as well as some of my little discoveries during my travels.

Sarah's Stunning Stilettos

According to various sources these killer heels, worn by Sarah Jessica Parker at her Vogue Sex and the City-inspired photo shoot are Dolce & Gabbana. The most stunning stilettos of the season...that is, when you don't have to walk 25 Manhattan blocks in them.

Sarah's 5th Avenue Vogue Photo Shoot

The Sex and the City starlet, Sarah Jessica Parker, and co-star Chris North, seen here shooting an editorial for Vogue Magazine on 5th Avenue in New York City. We just can't let it go, and evidently, neither can Anna Wintour...we always want more Carrie Bradshaw!

Style Spotlight: Mary Kate Olsen

Love her multiple rings. Hint...perhaps this will be the new key trend. Seeing how MK and her sister are at the top of the trend making ladder these days, I wouldn't see how this seemingly simple trend won't catch on.

On the Streets in Paris

My Favorite Front Rowers

Lucy Liu and Jessica Alba, the two most of-the-moment girls, at the Lanvin Fall 2008 runway show. Liu looks like she just stepped off the set of Cashmere Mafia (sans the red lips) and Alba is the most radiant girl in Hollywood. The two make a powerful front row statement.

Paris FW 2008: Lanvin

She is fierce, so fierce. The fall 2008 Lanvin woman has sheded her feminine drapery for a serious, straight and to the point wardrobe. There is no mistaking that the Lanvin woman knows what she wants and is not afraid of going after it and it shows in her choice of dress...literally. Lanvin is my favorite and while I was a little taken back by the seriousness of the collection, after viewing all 56 looks I came to appreciate Alber Elbaz's boldness and change of pace.
