Anna Sui
The Anna Sui spring show was by far my favorite in terms of (mainstream, wearable) originality and boundary pushing fashion. The entire collection was full of quirky details that, unfortunately, few would appreciate. I loved the bright socks with sandals, the Manic Panic (as referred to by style.com) streaked wigs, the presentation of feminine florals in a non-feminine way and the mix of wild patterns and colors on contemporary silhouettes. It was loud, fun and fit for a rock star. I see Rihanna, whose style I adore, rock many of these '70s-inspired pieces. You'd swear the entire collection was designed for her.
