Paris FW Spring 2008: Yohji Yamamoto

Another brilliant collection concocted by no else but Mr. Yohji Yamamoto. The spring collection is infused with signature and classic Yamamoto style. Yes, he is known for mixing the feminine with the masculine but it is the cut and drape of his clothes that captivates me. I think I could stare at these images for hours. The amount of detailing in his work is awe-inspiring. Just take for example the fifth image - it takes a design mastermind to create a asymmetrical meuille-feuille-like layered chiffon dress. I think the nucleus of Yamamoto's work is classic wherein he piles all the splendor of radical detailing and innovative ideals. A great collection, but more so, a great designer, one who keeps on delivering.
