A Stylist's Take

Glimpsing through the pictures from Style.com's party for their new book (mentioned in an early post) Stylist:The Interpreters of Fashion, I payed close attention to how everyone styled their outfit and it was Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele that stood out the most. I love her take on the pantsuit, she totally glammed it up rocker/hip hop style but in such a perfectly not-over-done way. She paired a tailored suit with a sequined sloganed tee but it is the small details that make it fun - the rolled, pushed up sleeves, exposing the suit lining, the fact that the suit is a dark grey and not your typical black, the smartly chosen gold jewels (there but not in your face) and the gold watch. I think this is an easy, playfully fun look, one in which I will most likely take inspiration from.
