Christian Lacroix Haute Couture Fall 2007

I love the exaggeration that goes into a Christian Lacroix show. I love to see the juxtaposing of bright colors with busy patterns, and that is just what Lacroix delivered for the fall couture show - lots of playful pieces that when thrown altogether somehow work. The pieces that worked most in my mind were the seductively draped black gowns. I think almost every one of them were not only wearable, but so detail laden that they will become the new standard for LBDs. Other pieces I see doing well on a stage, rather than on your average city dweller, were the oversized capes, beaded necklaces and sailor-like black hats.
