Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Fall 2007

Jean Paul Gaultier was all about royalty for his fall 2007 couture collection. The back drop was a gilded throne, red carpet and all. There were key stand-out pieces, like the tailored trench coat - (a divine coat any stylista should own) and the draped black gowns but like, Givenchy, too much fur. Perhaps not like Givenchy, as Gaultier went to the horrible extreme with his decked out fur looks that I almost refrained from viewing the rest of the collection. All this fur use, especially the way Gaultier uses it in this collection, is just not necessary and makes the clothes quite unattractive, even for fur loving fashion people. Quite honestly, I have seen better couture presentations by Mr. Gaultier and am not ruffled by this one.
