This spectacular studded heel platform pumps. They are absolutely fantastic.

Runaway Couture
I love this image of Renee Zellweger in a luscious embellished Chanel Haute Couture frock from the spring 2008 collection. The dress, available by special order, is a magnificent juxtaposition of the most exquisite jewels and fabric that only Mr. Lagerfled himself can create. It looked impressive on the catwalk but nothing compared to how it looks floating about on Zellweger in this image shot by Peter Lindbergh and styled by Mary Alice Stephenson for the December issue of Harper's Bazaar.
Seen here (below) on the Chanel spring 2008 Haute Couture runway, the dress looks completely different, only further proving that a dress of such splendor needs to live an active life, and needs to be constantly in motion. This image of Rene Zellweger frolicking about cannot be more perfect, as it shows the true beauty of this couture creation. My bet is that this is another one of those images worthy of a coffee table tome.

The IT Dress Designer
If you are wondering who Fergie was wearing onstage at the 2007 American Music Awards, it was Jenny Packham, a celebrity red carpet favorite. Known for her memorable and impressionable dramatic glittering dresses, Jenny Packham is definitely a top choice for the red carpet and on-stage performances.

Holiday Windows: Saks Fifth Avenue
This is when you know the Holiday season has officially arrived, when Saks Fifth Avenue unveils their Holiday Snowflake light show. Snowflakes in all varieties lend a magical mood to the Saks Fifth Avenue building. Lit every night, the building illuminates the entire street.

How Low is Too Low?
With all the scantily clad girls in the season's ever so popular mini dresses, one has to ask, perhaps not such a typical question, but - "How low is too low?" Forget the - "How high is too high?" question, we have covered that in the past, and it seems, there is no limit as to how high. Now we have to ask, how low could one possibly go?
Heidi Klum chose this look as the look of choice to parade around in at the Victoria's Secret fashion show after-party, in front of her husband, mother AND father. I cannot quite seem to understand this profanity (and a profanity it is), and it is so unexpected coming from her. Besides the fact that she is a mother of three, she is so highly respected in the industry, and a model, whom I would like to think, has a high level of class.
Can anyone understand this? Was she aware? Did she think this looked good? Was this just another p.r. ploy? Am I overreacting?
Just in case you don't believe me... Photos: wireimage.com

The Glitter Accessory of the Year
The AMA's On Stage
My favorite on-stage looks. Besides the glitter indulgent dresses preferred by Fergie and Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna opted for decadent gold, but it was Mary J. Blige's tonal black outfit that I thought really rocked, and Alicia Keys kept it plain in a grey catsuit but poured glitter all over her eyes and temples allowing her to truly steal the spotlight for most glittered-out girl.

The AMA's Red Carpet
It was a glitter fantasy at the 2007 American Music Awards. Everyone from Ashley Tisdale to Alicia Keys was decked out in sparkle, both on and off the stage.

Victoria's Secret Does It Again
The Victoria's Secret angels descended upon Los Angeles on Thursday night as the annual fashion extravaganza went live from Hollywood's Kodak Theater. Like usual the fashion show was an over-the-top presentation of sexy fantasy. The girls seductively clad in lace, satin, jewels and body glimmer floated down the runway like nymphs in a magical wonderland. The Spice Girls had their share of the spotlight as they were the main performers of the night with Seal and Will.i.am doing their thing. The audience was packed with celebs and the mood was enchanting. The show will be aired on CBS December 5th.

The World's Biggest Sample Sale
7th on Sale, coined the world's biggest sample sale, went live today on eBay. From November 15th to December 6th you can bid for your favorite designer items on eBay and, the most important part of the whole event, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to providing aid to those affected by HIV and Aids.
The event kicks off tonight with a black-tie gala in New York City (as likely...every event, no matter the cause, is kicked off with some kind of fashiony party) and is followed by a 3-day shopping spree.
Items will be auctioned off on eBay, so you must check back often to score some goodies as there will be hundreds of designer items up for winning.
7th on Sale is put on by the CFDA and Vogue, and is supposed to make record history this year as the biggest shopping sale event.
Vogue was certainly ahead of the game as Meredith Melling Burke, Vogue's Senior Market Editor, was the ring master pushing all the young Voguettes to sell, sell, sell promo tees at this past NY Fashion Week.
Hope you all find something. Good luck and happy shopping!

The Au Naturelle
What I am loving now is the cover of the November 2007 Allure. I think that Jennifer Lopez is a pure beauty. I am loving her natural, glowing skin, minimal make-up and glossy hair. It is a great everyday look, one that I am especially aspiring for these days. Her face emits that perfect glow that we stress induced workaholics not only crave but obsess over. Be sure to read this month's issue as it is packed with feel good tips, and makes for a great inspirational pick me up.

The Cocktail Monkey
The cocktail ring of all cocktail rings...This white opal ring with diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds from the Dior Fine Jewelry Collection is definitely one of those statement making pieces that triumphs any accessory. And, if the ring doesn't make enough of a statement I bet that diamond monkey will. The monkey is what makes this otherwise ordinary typical cocktail ring unique. It was the Mr. Curious George that completely won me over. It is definitely one of the most original high fashion fine jewelry items I have ever seen.

Golden Gams
Elle.com is declaring gold jeans one of the season's hottest denim trends, along with the skinnies, the wide-leg and the colored variety out on the market now. Unless you look like Ms. Turlington in this photo I do not see how one could pull off liquid gold (or silver, bronze, pewter) skin-tight jeans but I am sure glad someone can, at least they are keeping these daring fashions kicking.

She Just Has It
Rihanna at the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo. All I could say is wow. She looks exceptionally breathtaking on the red carpet in her emerald satin dress and equally as sassy in her pouf prom-inspired frock performing on stage. She is perfectly put together, everything from her hair and make-up to her manicure and shoes...she just doesn't miss a beat.

Fashion Idol: Jennifer Woo
If I were to have only one idol in the industry I think it would have to be Ms. Jennifer Woo, president of Lane Crawford, Hong Kong's most distinguished department store. Not only is Woo president, but she, as The Sartorialist put it ever so rightly, is a visionary leader and, she is only 30 years old. At 25 years old she was named president of the 155-year old department store. Her first mandate was to oversee the company's 82,000 square foot flagship and her most recent, the company's $38 million Beijing outpost, which just opened it's doors on October 17th. Woo is definitely one to watch, and so is her Chinese style emporiums.
