NY FW Fall 2008: Derek Lam

It was a Victorian-meets-office girl-meets-a touch of Goth-meets a mature woman Derek Lam collection. I think it is a strong winning season for Derek Lam. I loved all the separates, save for a handful of furs which were truly not a necessity, the collection was very diverse and well suited for the office type, à la Mia in Cashmere Mafia, just as for the ladies who ball. I absolutely loved his stellar evening gown suitable for any woman who wants to make a bold entrance and a lasting statement.
