The fall 2007 Chanel collection was very varied, to say the very least. It was a mélange of many things, one being old Chanel mixed with new Chanel mixed with a little street edge and at times, I saw a little rasta chic creeping into some of the looks. There was a definite retro feel to the first three quarters of the show, which then moved into classic evening wear. It was not my favorite collections but I did appreciate the mixing of colors, patterns, fabrics and silhouettes. It was quite inspirational actually and it made a huge statement - layering and the whole mixing and matching look is strong for fall.
